Mission Raceway

Mission Raceway Park is one of two main automobile racing facilities in the Lower Mainland. It features a dragstrip, motocross track and regular road track.

The other raceway is the Agassiz Speedway near Harrison Hot Springs.

Car Raceway in Mission

Mission Raceway Park is a motorsport racing facility that hosts many popular races and events in Mission for the public to enjoy.

The venue’s original location opened in 1965. It was used mainly by the B.C Custom Car Association, which was one of the first custom car clubs in Canada. The Raceway Park relocated to its current property in 1992, after the city forced it to switch locations. It’s been open there ever since.

Mission Raceway Park is home to a variety of races. The most popular events today are drag racing and motocross racing. The facility’s drag racing strip is about 0.4 km long. The regular racing track, meanwhile, is about 2 km long while the motocross track is 3 km long.

Where is Raceway Park in Mission?

Mission Raceway Park’s address is 32670 Dyke Road. The place is a 10-minute drive away from Fraser River Heritage Park which is where the city’s Canada Day Celebrations, Mission Folk Music Festival, and other community events take place.

Mission Raceway Park used to be home to the River’s Edge Haunted Halloween attraction in Octobers. Sadly, the event was permanently cancelled in 2021. The venue also sometimes hosts the Christmas Candlelight Parade in December.

Events at Mission Raceway Park

In 2026, the facility schedule includes over 50 races, with the vast majority of them happening from April to September. Not every race takes place, however. Sometimes the events are rained out or cancelled for other reasons.

2026 events include the YES Day – Youth Education Day on May 29th, and the Farmer Memorial Mission Finals from September 18th to 20th.

In the past there’s has been the Drive 4 Smiles fundraising event that takes place in the summer. Drive 4 Smiles is run by Starlight Canada and gives children with serious illnesses the chance to experience riding in fancy cars like McLarens and Ferraris. It’s a private event that’s open to people with fancy cars and children supported by Starlight Canada.
