Sweet Spring at Greendale Acres in 2026
Greendale Acres is a farm in the Fraser Valley. It’s located at 41905 Yale Road West in Chilliwack. The farm hosts various events throughout the year. For example, there’s the Chilliwack Plowing Match in early April, Easter-themed celebrations on the Easter Long Weekend, and Sweet Spring from late March or early April until May. Other events include the Chilliwack Corn Festival in the summer and Chilliwack Corn Maze from August until October.
The Sweet Spring Flower Festival is a wonderful event for all ages. There are colourful flower beds with more than 120,000 bulbs to check out. What’s more, the place is full of fun activities for children.
The flowers at Greendale Acres are planted in unique patterns. Instead of just a field full of flowers, like some other tulip festivals, Sweet Spring features a stunningly beautiful garden! There are also many things to do at the farm, especially for kids. In fact, if you have young children or grandchildren, Sweet Spring is arguably the best flower festival in BC. A couple of other flower festivals might have millions more flowers. Sweet Spring, however, because of all the fun play structures and games, will probably be your children’s favourite!
During Sweet Spring visitors get to interact with farm animals. There’s also a hay bale maze and a big jumping pillow, along with a pedal cart track and various play structures for children.
See the Greendale Acres website for tickets and full details about Sweet Spring.

Where and When is Sweet Spring?
The Sweet Spring Flower Festival takes place at Greendale Acres Farm at 41905 Yale Road West in Chilliwack. It’s near the Chilliwack Golf Course. Take Exit #109 onto Yale Road to get to Greendale Acres via the Trans-Canada Highway.
In 2026 Sweet Spring starts for the season on Friday, March 27th. Its last day of the season will likely be Sunday, May 3rd. Between those dates the farm is open from Thursday to Sunday each week.
Hours of operation for Sweet Spring this year are the following:
- Thursdays and Fridays – from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm
- Saturdays and Sundays – from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm
Sweet Spring has special hours on Friday, April 24th (which is also Grandparents Day at the farm). On that date the farm is open from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm. See below for more details about this event and a couple of other ones.
(Note: Exact dates and times are subject to change depending on the weather and growing season conditions. Also, peak tulip season doesn’t usually start until around mid-April, depending on the year. In late March and early April, there are a few flowers, including daffodils. Between the middle of April and early May, that’s when the tulips are everywhere. There are baby animals and tons of kid-friendly activities to enjoy throughout the season, however, and extra fun things to do around Easter.)
