Grouse Mountain hosts New Year’s Eve celebrations on December 31st. There are fireworks and other activities at the North Vancouver ski hill.
In addition to the fireworks, there’s the Light Walk and special menus at both The Observatory restaurant and Altitudes Bistro.
New Year’s Eve Fireworks at Grouse Mountain
On December 31st, 2024, Grouse Mountain celebrates New Year’s Eve with fireworks that blast off at 9:00 pm. It’s one of the biggest and best NYE fireworks displays in Metro Vancouver.
There’s also a fancy dinner party for adults on Grouse Mountain. It takes place at The Observatory restaurant which is a popular place to be on New Year’s Eve. The event features a multi-course menu with seatings at 5:30 and 9:15 pm.
The dinner at the Observatory includes wine pairings and costs $195 per person (plus taxes and tip). It also comes with complimentary champagne for a midnight toast and admission to Grouse Mountain.
For those with families there’s a New Year’s Eve buffet at the Timber Room. There are seatings at 5:00, 7:00 and 9:15 pm and it costs $59 for those ages 13 and up. Children under the age of 13 get in for just $19.
The resort’s regular skiing and snowboarding activities on December 31st run from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm. On that day, the Light Walk is open from dusk until 11:00 pm. The main New Year’s Eve attraction, however, is the fireworks which blast off at 9:00 pm. Admission to the show is free for people with general mountain admission tickets, ski lift tickets and annual passes.
