Jam Over the City is a special skiing and snowboarding event held in Vancouver at Grouse Mountain’s terrain park on a few Saturdays each season in winter.
Note: It doesn’t appear that there were any Jam Over the City events in 2018/2019, nor in 2020 to our knowledge either. In 2021, however, the events are happening again, but only in an online virtual format.
Between January 25th and February 15th, 2021, snowboarders can film themselves doing tricks on the Side Cut Park. They can then submit their entries on Instagram with the #jaminoverthecity hashtag and @grouseparks tag. Prizes include a new snowboard, season’s pass and gift cards.

Jam Over the City
Popular with younger adults and snowboarders, in past years the events included a bit of DJ music along the side of “The Cut” ski run and Grouse Mountain terrain park, amazing snowboarding tricks, prizes and lots of fun. Participation was free with a season’s pass or regular day’s ski ticket.
The first Jam Over the City session of the season in 2021 took place on Wednesday, December 13th, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Click Jam 2017 for details.
The second Jam Over the City session that year was during the 24 Hours of Winter event which took place on the weekend of February 17-18, 2018. That’s when Grouse Mountain is open non-stop from the Saturday morning until the Sunday night.
In 2016/17 Jam Over the City events took place once in December, once in February and then one final time in April.
