Coquitlam Christmas Night Market at Lights at LaFarge in 2024

Coquitlam Christmas Night Market

The Coquitlam Christmas Night Market is a winter holiday artisan market at the Evergreen Cultural Centre by the Lights at LaFarge event in Town Centre Park.

With close to 50 vendors, it’s a great event! In the past it has been just a one or two-day affair. In 2024, however, the market happens on two different weekends, on December 13th & 14th as well as the 20th & 21st. The first day of the season for Lights at LaFarge, meanwhile, is November 22nd.

Christmas Night Market in Coquitlam

Lights at LaFarge is one of Metro Vancouver’s best Christmas lights attractions. It’s free to attend and features beautiful Christmas illuminations around the landmark lake. The attraction runs from late November until around mid-January each year.

The Coquitlam Christmas Night Market is an artisan craft fair that has been running for a number of years. It’s a good-sized craft fair. As many as 50 or so vendors participate. It’s a really nice market, both for the quality of the participating vendors and for the location.

If you plan to visit Lights at LaFarge, which you should, a great day to do so is when the Coquitlam Christmas Night Market takes place (especially if you haven’t yet finished your Christmas shopping).

About the Night Market

The Coquitlam Christmas Night Market is a fairly typical, high-quality, holiday craft fair, except that it’s at night and there is an amazing free winter holiday light attraction right outside. The market itself features really nice products. If you like craft fairs and Christmas lights, you’ll love this event.

Artisan products at the market typically include jewellery, toys, apparel and accessories, health and beauty products, gourmet chocolates, and other handmade creations. Hot drinks are also available for sale.

The market is a perfect place to do last-minute holiday shopping. In addition, a walk around LaFarge Lake is a fine way to get into a festive spirit while doing light exercise at the same time. Checking out both the lights and the market on the same day is guaranteed to make you feel exceptionally Christmas-y!

The Coquitlam Christmas Night Market is a family-friendly event, and it’s wheelchair-accessible too (as is the Lights at LaFarge Christmas attraction). Both are highly recommended. Expect there to be lots of people!
