One of the longest running community events in the greater Vancouver region, Aldergrove Fair Days is a summertime tradition in Langley in July.
The event offers a wide range of activities and free admission.
Other even bigger events in Langley in the summer include the Fort Langley Jazz and Arts Festival and Ribfest Langley. The first is a terrific music festival that happens on July 24th to 27th in 2025. The other is a barbecue-themed food festival with live music and family-friendly activities that runs on August 15th to 17th in 2025. It too has free admission.

Aldergrove Fair Days in Langley
Aldergrove is a small, unincorporated community within the Township of Langley. It’s also one of the oldest communities in the entire Fraser Valley. The Aldergrove Agricultural Association was founded in 1912 and the first Aldergrove Fair was held that year. The festival has continued through to the present day pretty much every year, except during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event celebrates its 113th year when it returns to Aldergrove from July 18th to 20th in 2025.
There are all sorts of things to do at the fair including having fun with midway games, taking part in a photography contest, playing some sports and enjoying the live entertainment.
(Note: Aldergrove Fair Days is run by the same organization that hosts the Aldergrove Christmas Light Up Parade in December.)
Location and Admission
Aldergrove Fair Days takes place in Aldergrove Athletic Park at 26770 29th Avenue. The 2025 dates are from Friday, July 18th to Sunday, July 20th. The fair is open from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on the Friday, from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm on the Saturday, and from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on the Sunday.
You don’t need a ticket to attend the fair. Admission is by donation so you can pay as much as you want to. Although admission is free, you do still need to pay for a few activities (if you want to do them), plus pay for your food and drinks.
Fair Attractions
There is a lot going on at Aldergrove Fair Days over the course of the festival. There are plenty of displays to walk around and see including antique military equipment, tractor pulls and educational areas. In the midst of everything there are food trucks, a beer garden for those who are 19+, and a variety of artisan vendors.
Children and their families can check out the designated kids zone with its arts and crafts, face-painting and various games. There is plenty of entertainment to watch including dog shows, dance, music and more.
While admission to the fair itself is by donation, something that does require tickets are the midway games, and the half dozen or so “rides.” (Note: When we say “rides,” they are usually of the bouncy castle type, so fun for little kids.)
Fast Draw and Other Competitions
There are different prize exhibits that take place such as baking, gardening and other categories, but also a fast draw competition. Fast draw is a sport that requires lightning-quick reflexes. Each participant has a gun holstered on their side (loaded with blanks) that they must use to quickly draw and fire at a target when given a signal. They are timed and the fastest shooter wins.
Aldergrove Days Entertainment Schedule
Below was the full entertainment schedule from the 2022 fair. It will give you an idea of what to expect in 2025. Details will likely be comparable (although in 2024 the fair ran for just three days instead of four). In past years there have been fireworks on the last night. Whether or not that happens again in future years is to be confirmed.
