Richmond’s Top Aquatic Centre
At 14300 Entertainment Boulevard in Richmond, Watermania is located in a big-box entertainment district. Next door is a SilverCity Cineplex Theatre, Extreme Air Park (a giant indoor trampoline adventure park), a Go Bananas facility (for little kids), a bowling alley and an ice-skating complex.
If you can’t find an exciting place for your children close by, you won’t find one anywhere!
In addition to its giant swimming pool, Watermania has 1, 3 and 5-metre diving boards, a wave pool, water slides, whirlpools and more, including a 3,000 square foot fitness centre.
The main pool at the centre is 190 feet long. The wave pool features a seahorse structure that dumps water into buckets that tip over (which is fun for kids). The facility also features a sauna, steam room and 3000-square-foot fitness centre.
Pool Admission Fees
Pool fees at Watermania typically range from about $5 for children (ages 2 to 12) up to close to $7 for adults, or around $16 for a family. (Note: Exact rates are subject to change and may well have gone up since the last time we checked.)
Shopping in the Area
While you’re in the area, and if it’s the warmer half of the year, consider stopping in at the Richmond Country Farms at 12900 Steveston Highway. This is one of the Lower Mainland’s best fresh fruit and vegetable stands, open from April until the late fall.
