Richmond’s Asian Feast Dining Festival

Asian Feast Dining Festival

Vancouver’s Feast Asian Dining Festival is an event offering special menu prices on Chinese and other Asian food at participating restaurants in Richmond.

The series of restaurant specials took place in 2019. Whether it ever happens again is to be determined. The event’s original website wasn’t working when we last checked (in early 2025), however, so we’re not sure if it will.

Feast: Asian Dining Festival in Richmond

Focusing on different varieties of Asian food, the Feast Asian Dining Festival was a restaurant promotional initiative that took place in Richmond for about a month in the fall last year. In 2019 it ran from October 18th to November 18th. The festival was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID-19. Future details are to be confirmed.

Close to three dozen restaurants participated in 2019. They served a variety of Asian cuisine including Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Persian and Vietnamese.

Advice and Suggestions

Below are some tips to help you make the most out of your dining experience in Richmond.

TIP #1: Some of the special menu offerings during the event are for “family-style” dining where groups of four or more can order a set menu consisting of a variety of tasty items. So don’t go on your own – take the whole family or invite a group of friends. Some restaurants though do offer individual menu items, or discounts (of like 10%) off their regular menus.

TIP #2: It’s easy to always order “Combo #1” or “Combo #2” and settle for the standard rice or noodles plus sweet and sour whatever. The best Chinese food is much more than that though. Be adventurous and order something new, authentic and extra tasty!

TIP #3: While in Richmond explore the area. Before dinner go for a bike ride along the West Dyke Trail or visit the Gulf of Georgia Cannery and Steveston Village.
