Vancouver’s Seasons in the Park Restaurant

Seasons in the Park Restaurant

Located on a hill in Queen Elizabeth Park, Seasons in the Park is a fancy fine dining restaurant known for its sweeping views of Metro Vancouver.

Seasons in the Park at Queen Elizabeth Park

Seasons in the Park is a large restaurant in the City of Vancouver. The place can be found at the top of the hill in the centre of Queen Elizabeth Park. It’s accessed via West 33rd Avenue at Cambie Street. The park is the highest point in the city which affords the establishment panoramic views of the Vancouver skyline and the North Shore Mountains.

The restaurant is also close to some popular attractions. The Bloedel Conservatory is right next door and the VanDusen Gardens is just a 10-minute drive away. There is also lots to explore at Queen Elizabeth Park itself.

About Seasons in the Park

The menu at the restaurant features many fancy fine-dining options. Dishes include wood-fired salmon, chicken, lamb and pork chops as well as steaks and prime rib. Other entrées include pasta, seafood and duck. Prices for main dishes range from around $26 for spaghetti Bolognese up to $46 for citrus-ponzu marinated sablefish.

There are also several options for those with dietary restrictions including vegetarian and gluten-free items. Seasons in the Park also participates in the Ocean Wise Program which encourages restaurants to serve only sustainably-caught seafood.

Venue Trivia: In 1993, when American President Bill Clinton and Russian President Boris Yeltsin met at the US-Russian Summit in Vancouver, the two leaders had dinner at Seasons in the Park. The place is that fancy (and, being all by itself at the top of Queen Elizabeth Park, security was no doubt easier than it would have been at most other places).

Tips and Suggestions

Below are some tips and advice to help you make the most of your dining experience and visit to the area.

TIP #1: An exceptional time to eat at the restaurant is during the Dine Out Vancouver Festival. That’s when hundreds of Lower Mainland restaurants offer special three-course menus at a discounted price.

TIP #2: Another good way to save when dining out is to use a coupon from the Vancouver Entertainment Book. The book has dozens of valuable 2-for-1 deals. There might not be a coupon for the restaurant in this article, but there are for lots of other places.

TIP #3: Be sure to go for a walk around Queen Elizabeth Park either before or after your meal. When the weather is good the surrounding gardens are beautiful, especially from late spring until late autumn.

TIP #4: Don’t forget to pay for parking. It’s not free in the park. Also, be sure to pay for more time than you expect to need so you can relax and enjoy your meal (and then go for a stroll afterwards).

TIP #5: When making your reservation ask for a window seat and consider yourself lucky if you get one. The views are amazing!
