Lower Mainland Winter Markets

Cannery Farmers Market

The Lower Mainland has a number of winter farmers markets including ones in Burnaby, Vancouver and Port Moody. There is also the Vancouver Christmas Market.

If you include flea markets that have fruits and veggies vendors too, there is also the one in Cloverdale. All of them run during the winter months and feature local produce and handmade goods.

Winter Markets in Metro Vancouver

Below are some of the Lower Mainland’s main winter farmers markets.

  • Riley Park Farmers Market – takes place on Saturdays between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm. From Halloween day until April it happens at Vancouver’s Nat Bailey Stadium at 4601 Ontario Street and at nearby Riley Park at 50 East 30th Avenue. During the rest of the year it’s just at Riley Park.

  • Port Moody Winter Farmers Market – on Sundays from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm between early November and late April at Port Moody’s Rec Centre at 300 Ioco Road.
  • Hastings Park Farmers Market – on Sundays from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Hastings Skatepark by the PNE (at Renfrew Street and Pandora Street) from early November until the end of April or first weekend in May. Parking is free at the PNE, even if the sign says there’s a price – just say you’re going to the market.
  • Cloverdale Flea Market – on Sundays at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds. It’s not a farmers’ market, but it often has a good number of vendors selling fresh produce, plants and flowers. And it’s not a winter market, specifically, as it runs year-round. It operates in winter though, and it’s enormous and very popular.

Note: Market details such as dates, times and locations are subject to change. Check each market’s website for exact details.
