The Burrard Hotel is a “retro-style” 3-star budget-friendly hotel located near Davie Street at 1100 Burrard Street in downtown Vancouver.
The hotel is nice, simple and affordable. A nice feature are the palm trees in the hotel’s small courtyard.
The Burrard Hotel
Originally a drive-in motel that opened in 1956, The Burrard has been renovated to provide guests with more modern rooms, furnishings and amenities while also preserving the hotel’s “retro” style. It has 72 rooms and is situated across the street from St. Paul’s Hospital.
Located right on Burrard Street, the hotel is close to several main Vancouver attractions and places of interest. Just a short walk away is Granville Street, a Vancouver street that’s famous for shopping, nightlife and entertainment. Just around the corner is Davie Street which leads down to English Bay and the seawall. Davie Street is also where you’ll find Davie Village, rainbow-coloured sidewalks and the heart of Vancouver’s gay subculture.
From the seawall at English Bay there are also great cycling and walking pathways all the way to Stanley Park. Also within a 10-minute walk is the core of downtown Vancouver.

The hotel itself features several amenities for guests. There are two restaurants, a garden courtyard for ping pong and lounging, and an electric vehicle charging station. Elysian Café and Burgoo are two restaurants on-site at The Burrard. At Elysian, expect to see typical café food such as coffee, espresso and snacks plus beer on tap and wine. Burgoo is a popular comfort-food joint, so expect to see dishes like rich soups, mac and cheese and other such fare.
