The Chilliwack Party in the Park is a Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival event with live music, a market and food trucks. Admission is free.
In 2024 the event takes place on the weekend of May 4th and 5th at Central Community Park in Chilliwack. In addition to food, entertainment and artisan vendors, there is a beer garden.
TIPS:
- On May 4th if you wear a Star Wars costume you might win a prize! May the Fourth Be With You!
- Go on May 5th if you want to experience the event with a bit of a Cinco de Mayo Mexican theme.
- While you’re in the area, if you have kids, also check out Greendale Acres. It’s a terrific farm attraction with child-friendly games and activities. On May 4th, they also have a Star Wars-themed event!

Chilliwack Party in the Park
The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival hosts events at a number of different locations during the spring and summer including in Chilliwack.
The Chilliwack Party in the Park runs on May 4th and 5th in 2024. It happens at Central Community Park located at 45951 Victoria Avenue. On the Saturday, the event runs from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm. On the Sunday, it runs from 11:00 am until 7:00 pm, so for one hour less.
The event is free to attend and has both a Star Wars and Cinco de Mayo theme. Folks are encouraged to dress in costumes for a chance to win a prize. As usual, the event features food trucks and an artisan market with local vendors. There’s also a beer garden and activities for kids. As with all events hosted by the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival, live entertainment runs for most of the day as well.

This year, the Chilliwack event features about 20 food vendors. On both the Saturday and Sunday, the market also features a dozen or so different vendors selling a variety of artisan products.

In the spring of 2024 there are 16 or so market vendors on-site at the event. The vendors are local businesses offering high quality products ranging from soaps and candles to baked goods and jewelry.

Live Entertainment
At the event a variety of musicians and DJs provide the entertainment each year. On the first day of the May 2024 event, performers include Concrete Jungle, Stan Giles Band, Tailgators and Nighthawks. Entertaining on the second day are Dog Daze, Lounge Hounds, Retrobot and Calvin Rempel Band.
