Maple Ridge’s Music on the Wharf
Music on the Wharf is a series of summer concerts in Maple Ridge. The event began in the late 1990s, when a band performed on the Port Haney Wharf and entertained locals who were in the area. Since then, the Maple Ridge Museum has made it an annual tradition to host a variety of concerts at the wharf that are free to attend.
Performances normally take place on select Monday evenings in July and August. The concerts feature local bands from Maple Ridge and its surrounding regions. Performers usually play music from different genres including rock, jazz and blues.
Where is Music on the Wharf?
Music on the Wharf happens at the Port Haney Wharf, which is located on River Road in Maple Ridge. River Road extends for quite some distance, but 223rd Street gets you close to the musical set.
The wharf is on the northern edge of the Fraser River, so the waterfront views are a nice addition to the music during the concert series.

Tips & Advice
TIP #1: The Music on the Wharf concerts are free to attend, but donations are appreciated. There are no seats at the wharf so event organizers recommend bringing lawn chairs to make the evening more comfortable.
TIP #2: Port Haney is well-known for being the site of several heritage buildings. While in the area, we recommend you visit the Maple Ridge Museum and the Haney House Museum, both of which are less than a 10-minute walk from the wharf. Memorial Peace Park is also about 5 minutes away by car. The Haney Farmers Market takes place there on Saturdays between May and October most years.
