The Vancouver Canadians
The Vancouver Canadians are one of Metro Vancouver‘s main professional sports teams with the others being the Vancouver Canucks for hockey, Vancouver Whitecaps for soccer, and BC Lions for football.
Affiliated with the Toronto Blue Jays and part of the Northwest League, the Vancouver Canadians play other baseball teams from Washington and Oregon.
There used to be eight teams in the old Northwest League, but two teams dropped out after the league was replaced in 2021 by High-A West as part of the MLB reorganizing how it structures the minor leagues. There are also High-A Central and East leagues, both of which have 12 teams.
In 2022 the High-A West League was renamed the Northwest League after the MLB acquired the rights to the name of that and other former minor leagues.
The regular season for the High-A West League and the Vancouver Canadians used to not start until the summer. Now it’s a couple months longer, running from April until September. There were over 70 home games in 2025.
The Canadians have made it to the league championship series in three straight years, winning the title in 2023 and losing in the final in both 2022 and 2024. They are a really good team.

Nat Bailey Stadium
Northwest League Championships
The regular season finishes for the Vancouver Canadians at the beginning of September. The top two teams in the regular season qualify for the best-of-five championship series which is played immediately after the regular season ends.
The Canadians captured three league titles in a row from 2011 to 2013 and then won again in 2017. The team finished with a 67-62 record in 2022, but lost the Northwest League Championship Series to the Eugene Emeralds. In 2023, they were 77-54 and beat the Everett AquaSox to win their fifth championship.
In 2024 the Vancouver Canadians had a 68-61 record but couldn’t defend their crown as they fell to the Spokane Indians in the Northwest League Championship Series.
See Vancouver Canadians Schedule on the team’s official website for more on the season schedule.
Group Outings at the Nat
The team offers special group outing packages for those who want to go to a Vancouver Canadians game with a big group.
To qualify, groups must be at least 20 people (so fitting for a field trip, corporate party, and the like). Each ticket receives a $2 or $3 discount and buying as a group provides other perks too.
Using this package means an entire section of seats is reserved together, a dedicated Canadians representative is on hand at the game specifically to cater to your group, and the team will help promote the event as well.
Visit the Vancouver Canadians website to learn more and to submit a request for a group visit.
