The Vancouver Giants Hockey Team
The Vancouver Giants used to be based at the Pacific Coliseum at the PNE, but now play home games at the much newer and more modern facility in the Fraser Valley. If you love watching live affordable ice hockey, then their games can be one of “Vancouver’s best places” to be.
Vancouver Giants 2022-23 Schedule
The 2019-2020 regular season was cut short and the playoffs were cancelled due to COVID-19. The Vancouver Giants began a new season in March 2021. That season was different as the Giants only played against other BC games and there were no fans in the stands.
The 2021-22 season was more of a return to normal although there were still some travel limits. There were 68 games and fans were allowed to come watch the games at limited capacities.
The 2022-23 season is basically the same as it was in years before COVID-19. There are 68 games between September and March.

About the Vancouver Giants
The Western Hockey League (WHL) is lower than the National Hockey League (NHL), but still very exciting hockey to watch, plus much more affordable. Giants’ tickets usually cost between about $23 and $30, which is cheap compared to games for the Vancouver Canucks.
As part of the Western Hockey League, the Vancouver Giants play against teams from all four Western Canadian provinces as well as from Washington and Oregon in the States. Other BC teams include the Victoria Royals, Kamloops Blazers, Prince George Cougars and Kootenay Ice (which is based in Cranbrook).
Vancouver Giants players range in age from about 17 to 20 and they all hope one day to make it to professional hockey, and a fair number of them do.

Venue Locations
Since 2016 the Vancouver Giants have been playing home games at the Langley Events Centre at 7888 200th Street in Langley (though not in 2021). The team usually practices at the Ladner Leisure Centre which is located at 4600 Clarence Taylor Crescent in Delta. Most practices are open to the public in normal years.
