Beyond Van Gogh Video
For a really good idea of what to expect at the Beyond Van Gogh exhibition in Cloverdale, check out the following video. It shows scenes of the event in 2023.
Who Was Van Gogh?
Vincent Van Gogh was an artist from the Post-Impressionist era in the 19th century. Some of his most famous works include “The Starry Night”, “Café Terrace at Night” and “Sunflowers”.
His paintings are easily recognizable to this day because of a few distinct traits. Van Gogh typically used vibrant colours with thick brush strokes. His pieces are mostly unrealistic and full of abstract shapes and forms. He was also known to distort objects in different ways. When combined together, all of these attributes made up a unique style that set his paintings apart from others during his time.
Other Information
Note: The company behind the attraction, Paquin Entertainment, is the same company behind the Beyond King Tut exhibition which was in Vancouver between November 2022 and January 2023. Paquin Entertainment has also brought other exhibitions to Vancouver in recent years including Imagine Picasso and Imagine Van Gogh. The company is also behind the Marvel Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. which is in Burnaby in the spring of 2023.
Although similar in subject matter and style of exhibition, Imagine Van Gogh and Beyond Van Gogh are unrelated. The former was created by a French company and the latter by Montreal’s Normal Studio. If you have been to Beyond King Tut, or Imagine Picasso or Imagine Van Gogh, and liked them, you’ll no doubt really enjoy Beyond Van Gogh too. Their shows are impressive!
