Chilliwack Fair and Rodeo

Chilliwack Fair & Rodeo

The Chilliwack Fair and Rodeo in early August is a country fair and agricultural exhibition that features farm animals, concerts and antique displays.

The fair celebrates its 154th year in 2026. As it always happens on the weekend after BC Day, its dates in 2026 are from August 7th to 9th.

Other events that happen around the same time include the Chilliwack Corn Maze, Abbotsford Airshow and BC Dumpling Festival. There’s also Ribfest Langley,  Symphony in the Park, and Bands on the Beach (all of which have free admission or admission by donation).

Chilliwack Fair Activities

The Chilliwack Fair is a fairly typical small-town country fair so expect to see farm animals both outdoors and in buildings, vendors selling home and garden products, and country fair competitions. There are races, horse shows, agricultural demonstrations, magic shows and various forms of live entertainment.

At the fair there are also pony rides and inflatable structures, as well as cooking and live art demonstrations. There’s also mini golf, a parkour course and carnival games most years. Visitors can enjoy face painting opportunities too. Animals to look at on-site usually include everything from cows to chickens to llamas.
