Disney On Ice: Magic in the Stars in Vancouver
Disney On Ice puts on magical performances at venues around the world. The show on skates visits many cities across Canada in 2024. Disney On Ice: Magic in the Stars comes to Vancouver in the fall of 2024 with daily shows at the end of November.
The stadium experience takes viewers on a journey to different Disney destinations. The show features favourite characters from popular Disney (and Pixar) productions. There’s Mickey Mouse, Minnie and Goofy. Also featured are characters from Frozen, Encanto, Moana, and many more.
The performers at Disney On Ice are all very talented and put on awesome shows. There’s lots of singing, dancing and even acrobatics to enjoy. Of course, the shows take place on ice, which makes the performances even more impressive.
For the main shows, kids under the age of 14 are normally welcome to arrive in costumes. Costumes are typically not allowed for older folks. Last year, there were also Preshows (also known as Character Experience) that happened before the main performances.
Access to the Preshow required a separate ticket. The Preshow experience ran for between 45 and 60 minutes and included photo opportunities with Elsa and Mirabel, plus games and crafts activities. It was a fun way to meet and interact with famous Disney characters before they hit the ice. Whether or not this returns in 2024 is to be confirmed.

Admission Costs
There were two types of tickets for Disney On Ice last year. Admission to the Preshow was sold separately from tickets for the actual Disney On Ice performance. Below were prices for the shows in November 2023. 2024 tickets go on sale mid-August.
Disney On Ice: Frozen & Encanto in 2023
Tickets to watch Disney On Ice were available online. Prices ranged from $25 up to about $145 per person (plus taxes and online fees). Toddlers under the age of 2 were admitted for free. However, there were no special rates for older children or seniors. Instead, everyone ages 2 and over paid the same general admission rate.
Admission prices varied depending on the day and the section that is selected. Tickets on weekday evenings were the least expensive. Tickets on weekend nights, on the other hand, cost more. Prices for seats in the upper bowl were significantly cheaper than seats closer to the action.
Preshow Ticket Prices
Admission to the Preshow was sold separately. Tickets cost about $75 or $85 depending on the day. Preshow tickets were only free for little kids under the age of 2.
Tips & Advice
Below are some tips and advice to help you make the most of your experience at Disney On Ice.
TIP #1: Doors for each performance open about an hour before the listed show times. Even though seating is reserved, it’s best to arrive early and get settled into your seats well before the show begins. Give yourself lots of time just in case traffic is bad.
TIP #2: Tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded. This is unfortunate but good to know before booking.
TIP #3: Tickets can be booked only in groups of up to eight. For groups of 15 or more people, it’s best to contact Disney On Ice directly. Large groups may be able to save money on tickets, and suites might also be available.
