Inside a Recreational Vehicle at the RV Show

The RV Shows in Abbotsford are BC’s biggest recreational vehicle trade shows. The Earlybird event is in February and the Snowbird event is in the fall.

In 2022 the Snowbird RV Show took place at the TRADEX Centre on September 29th to October 2nd. In 2023 the Earlybird RV Show & Sale happened on February 16th to 19th.

Snowbird RV Show & Sale (in the Fall)

The Snowbird RV Show and Sale is the one and only fall recreational vehicle show in British Columbia. The event is for anyone interested in the RV lifestyle. It’s a massive show that covers over 120,000 square feet of space.

The event features dozens of recreational vehicles to explore, including many of the newest models on the market. At the Snowbird RV Show and Sale you can walk inside the vehicles and even purchase one if interested. The show also features exhibitor booths full of information and smaller products, including specific vehicle accessories and cookware. In 2023 there is a stage for seminars as well. At it guests can enjoy helpful demonstrations and travel tips.

One of the main featured RV dealers at the event most years is Fraserway RV. The company recently partnered with a large American dealer in a $100 million deal. Now more than ever, Fraserway RV is one of the best places to rent or buy recreational vehicles. Highlights of their impressive inventory are showcased at the Snowbird RV Show and Sale.

When and Where

The RV Show and Sale happens twice a year. There is the Earlybird RV Show in February. The Snowbird RV Show and Sale happens later in the year, usually in late September or early October.

After not taking place in 2021, the Earlybird RV Show and Sale returned in 2022. It happened again in 2023 from Thursday, February 16th, until Sunday, February 19th. Hours of operation were from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm, except on the Sunday when it was open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm.

The Snowbird RV Show and Sale happened in 2019, but didn’t return for three years. In 2022 it took place from Thursday, September 29th, until Sunday, October 2nd. 2023 dates are to be confirmed.

The bi-annual event is held at the TRADEX Centre. The venue is located at 1190 Cornell Street in Abbotsford. It’s a huge building next to the Abbotsford International Airport.

2022 Fall Snowbird RV Show Seminar Schedule

In addition to all of the exhibitor booths and recreational vehicles at the event, the 2022 Snowbird RV Show and Sale featured The Seminar Stage. It was an area where folks could gather around to watch interesting demonstrations and talks. There were safety tips, cooking tutorials and more to take in each hour from 11:00 am onward.

Earlybird RV Show in February

In addition to the Snowbird RV Show in autumn, there is another similar event in late winter or early spring. Whereas the Snowbird RV Show has a focus on preparing local RV-ers for travelling south for winter (or simply winterizing their vehicles if staying in Canada), the Earlybird RV Show takes place in February, just in time for the start of the camping season. Both events take place at the TRADEX Centre in Abbotsford and are hosted by the same organization.

The Earlybird RV Show happens in February during and just before the Family Day Long Weekend most years. Its dates in 2023 were February 16th to 19th (which was a Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

Admission to the Earlybird RV Show in 2023

Tickets for the Earlybird RV Show and Sale were available online. Costs varied depending on your age and how many tickets you bought. One-day admission prices for the February 2023 show are listed below.

Adult (ages 19+) – $15
Senior (ages 60+) – $13
Youth (ages 13 to 18) – $12
Child (ages 12 and under) – FREE
Family (2 adults and up to 4 youth) – $33

Discounted admission rates were available for visits between 5:00 and 9:00 pm on Thursday, February 16th. Adults and seniors paid $9 for a ticket valid during the Thursday evening.

For folks wanting to check out the event more than once, multi-day passes were also available. They cost $20 per person and were valid for each day of the show.

Parking at the TRADEX Centre costs $8 per day and overnight parking for recreational vehicles costs $25 each night.
