Earlybird RV Show

Four large RV Shows take place in the Fraser Valley each year. They are the Earlybird RV Show, Snowbird RV Show, and two Abbotsford RV Shows.

The first two are ticketed events and take place at the TRADEX Centre in Abbotsford. The first is in the spring and the latter in early fall. The Abbotsford RV Shows, meanwhile, take place at the same times as the other shows, but at Woody’s RV and with free admission. If you are serious about recreational vehicles and are looking for a new RV, whether you’re going in the spring or fall, we recommend you check out more than just one event on the same day.

Lower Mainland RV Shows

RV shows present great opportunities to see and learn about what’s new and available in the recreational vehicle market. They are events where you can go inside dozens of campers, motor homes and trailers, and discover what you like, want and can afford. You can usually find extra good deals during the RV shows too.

The RV shows at the TRADEX Centre in Abbotsford are BC’s biggest recreational vehicle trade shows. The Earlybird event is in February and the Snowbird event is in September. They cost about $15 to attend.

The Abbotsford RV Shows, on the other hand, take place on the same dates as the other events and are a bit smaller (but not much smaller). They are also free to attend (and parking on the site is free too). All four shows offer exceptional opportunities for buying a new recreational vehicle as well as getting RV equipment, deals and RV-related information.

When and Where are Vancouver’s RV Shows?

The Earlybird RV Show & Sale usually takes place at TRADEX in the week of the last Sunday in February. That means it will likely happen on February 25th to 28th in 2027, although exact details are to be confirmed. The spring version of the Abbotsford RV Shows happens on the same days at Woody’s RV World (located at 31708 Marshall Road which is just a 5-minute drive from TRADEX). The address for TRADEX, meanwhile, is 1190 Cornell Street. It’s a huge building next to the Abbotsford International Airport.

The Snowbird RV Show usually takes place in mid-September. In 2027 we’re predicting it will be run from September 16th to 19th, although, again, the exact dates are to be confirmed. Whenever it happens, the fall edition of the Abbotsford RV Show will take place at Woody’s RV World on the exact same days.

Both the Earlybird RV Show and Snowbird RV Show runs from a Thursday to a Sunday. Hours of operation are usually from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm each day, except on the Sunday when it’s open from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm. Times for the show at Woody’s RV World are about the same, although sometimes starting an hour earlier.

Abbotsford RV Shows (in the Spring & Fall)

Not to be confused with the other ticketed RV shows that take place in the same city at the same times just down the road, the Abbotsford RV Shows take place at Woody’s RV World at 31708 Marshall Road in Abbotsford. Unlike the other RV shows, which cost about $15, this one is free to attend (and it also has free parking).

What’s Different from a Regular Day at Woody’s RV

How is the Abbotsford RV Show different from a regular day at Woody’s RV? During the shows they have additional units available to see (and buy) as well as extra special sales. They also have distributor representatives on site, who are extra knowledgeable about the products. What’s more? Every unit is open for you to walk inside and look around. You don’t have to go around with a sales agent opening every unit one at a time, although you can ask a sales agent to accompany you if you want them to.

What’s Different from Other RV Shows

How are the Abbotsford RV Shows different from the ones happening on the same days at TRADEX? For one, admission is free. You also don’t have to pay for parking. The event at Woody’s RV is slightly smaller, but close to the same size. It’s also far less crowded. Whereas with the shows at TRADEX most of the vehicles are indoors and just a few are outside, at the Woody’s RV event a lot of the units are indoors, but even more are outside.

Another difference between the different shows is that Woody’s RV specializes in trailers (i.e., units you tow behind a truck). They have motor homes and camper vans too, but not so many. Maybe up to a couple of dozen. If you know you want a trailer, then you’ll definitely want to attend this event at Woody’s. They have a ton of trailers (and probably event more than at the shows at TRADEX).

Snowbird RV Show & Sale (in the Fall)

The Snowbird RV Show is for anyone interested in the RV lifestyle. It’s a massive show that covers over 120,000 square feet of space.

Taking place in September, the event features dozens of recreational vehicles to explore, including many of the newest models on the market. At the Snowbird RV Show & Sale you can walk inside the vehicles and even purchase one if interested. The show also features exhibitor booths full of information and smaller products, including specific vehicle accessories and cookware. There is a stage for seminars as well, where guests can enjoy helpful demonstrations and travel tips.

Earlybird RV Show in February

Whereas the Snowbird RV Show in autumn has a focus on preparing local RV-ers for traveling south for winter (or simply winterizing their vehicles if staying in Canada), the Earlybird RV Show takes place in February, just in time for the start of the spring and summer camping seasons. This event also takes place at the TRADEX Centre in Abbotsford and is hosted by the same organization as the Snowbird RV Show.

The Earlybird RV Show happens in February. Its dates in 2026 were February 19th to 22nd (which was a Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday). It will likely take place around the same time in 2027.

Spring vs. Fall Shows

What’s the difference between a spring RV show and a fall one? The spring events are for people getting ready for the upcoming spring and summer camping seasons. The shows feature a wide range of unit options, including tiny ones. The inventory and consequent selection of options is usually larger.

With the fall events, on the other hand, the focus is more on people looking for RVs and equipment for the fall and winter seasons (where Canadian snowbirds drive their massive vehicles south somewhere to spend the winter). At the fall events, consequently, there are usually more big vehicles on display. That being said, especially at the Abbotsford RV Show, there can also be bigger discounts as the dealerships have leftover inventory from the summer they want to get rid of before their new models arrive.
