Food Truck Wars in Langley
The Lower Mainland’s first Food Truck Wars event was in Cloverdale last year and it was awesome! This year’s event promises to be just as good, if not better!
In 2023 Food Truck Wars happens at Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Langley on March 31st to April 2nd. If you like beer, artisan vendors and food, especially food truck food, you won’t want to miss this!
Food Truck Wars features over 40 food trucks on each of the three days. There is also live music and roaming entertainment, a beer garden and market vendors. It’s a family-friendly event and a competition between food vendors.
When, Where and How Much?
The event takes place at the Langley Campus of Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The university’s address is 20901 Langley Bypass. It’s about 7 km east of Cloverdale and 10.5 km southwest of Fort Langley.
Food Truck Wars happens on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of March 31st and April 1st and 2nd in 2023. Hours of operation are from 4:00 until 9:00 pm on the Friday and from 11:00 am until 8:00 pm on the Saturday and Sunday.

What to Expect
At Food Truck Wars you can expect to see lots of people having a good time while eating food from their choice of 45 or so different food truck vendors. There is a beer garden, but people can also wander around with their drinks within the site. There are also activities for children, a market area with about 20 artisan vendor stalls, and live entertainment including buskers, DJs and musicians.

The Competition
The event is called Food Truck Wars because it’s a competition between the different food vendors to see which is the public’s favourite.
Competition categories include Best Fusion, Best International, Best Plant-Based, Best Meat Sweats and Best Sweet Treat. There is also Best Between The Buns (which includes hot dogs, hamburgers and that sort of thing). New for 2023 there is also Best In Show (which factors in best taste, customer service, presentation and design) and Best Bang For your Buck.
