Vancouver’s FVDED in the Park Music Festival at Holland Park

FVDED in the Park

FVDED in the Park is a music festival at Surrey’s Holland Park that features over 24 rap, hip-hop, R&B, alternative and electronic music artists.

In 2026 the event takes place on July 3rd and 4th.

FVDED in the Park is so popular it tends to sell out. Another event that happens around the same time is Carnaval del Sol. It’s an event celebrating Latin music, food and culture in Vancouver. There is also the Khatsahlano Street Party which is free to attend.

Other great events with music in July include Port Moody Ribfest, the Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival, Surrey Fusion Festival, Vancouver Folk Music Festival and Mission Folk Music Festival.

See our July Calendar or article about Shows & Entertainment to learn about the above and other events happening this month. Continue reading to learn about FVDED in the Park.

What to Bring and Not to Bring

As with many music festivals these days, there are things you are allowed to take to FVDED in the Park and things you are not allowed to take.

Recommended Things to Take

Good things to bring include a hydration pack, sunscreen and a sweater for the evening. Free water refill stations are typically available for hydration packs and bottles.

Umbrellas are not allowed, even if rain is expected. The festival continues regardless of the weather. Pack a raincoat if the forecast calls for rain.

Prohibited Items at the Festival

Commonly banned items include alcohol, outside food and beverages, sharp objects, glass, cameras with detachable lenses, selfie sticks, Frisbees, skateboards and other items listed by festival organizers. Drugs and weapons are strictly prohibited.

Smoking is permitted only in designated areas. Dogs are not allowed unless they are working guide dogs.

All bags are usually inspected prior to entry.

FVDED Parking and Transit

Holland Park is beautiful, but it doesn’t offer many parking options. Using public transit is highly recommended, and Central City SkyTrain Station is on the other side of the Central City Mall, so not too far away. King George SkyTrain Station is even closer, located on just the other side of King George Boulevard.

Music fans attending the festival are usually encouraged to carpool and use public parking at the King George Station or at the Scott Road SkyTrain Station, and then from there take the SkyTrain three stops to King George. For people dropping off passengers at the site, they can do so along the west side of King George Boulevard.

Bikes aren’t normally allowed inside the festival venue, but there are bicycle racks and a supervised valet service outside on a first-come, first-served basis (or at least there was in previous years).

TIP: Fans are encouraged to arrive early to find a parking spot for their car or bike. Central City Mall is open Saturdays until 7:00 pm, and those attending the festival can shop beforehand, grab a bite to eat, or have a pre-concert beverage.
