The Music Man is a Broadway musical by Highlands United Productions that takes place in North Vancouver’s Edgemont Village on March 21 to 25 in 2018.
The play, by Meredith Wilson, is about a con artist who pretends to be a band teacher in rural Iowa.

When and Where
The Music Man runs from Wednesday, March 21, until Sunday, March 25, 2018. Shows are at 7:30 pm and go for about 2.5 hours.
The musical is performed at Highlands United Church at 3255 Edgemont Boulevard in North Vancouver.
Tickets cost $25 and can be purchased online through Brown Paper Tickets.

Highlands United Productions is a high-quality community theatre group that operates out of a United Church. Their shows are always of an exceptional standard and usually sell out.

The group’s 2018 production of the Music Man includes a cast of 45 actors, an 8-piece orchestra and more than 100 volunteers. Although Highlands United Productions is a North Shore-based theatre group, its actors are from across the Lower Mainland including from as far away as Langley, Maple Ridge and Richmond.
About the Music Man
Written by Meredith Wilson, the Music Man is a musical about an American con artist named Harold Hill. The show was a Broadway Hit in the late 1950s and won 5 Tony Awards including Best Musical.
In the story, Harold Hill is a con man who, while pretending to be a professor, promises to teach the children of a small town how to play musical instruments that he happens to have for sale. After duping all the parents and collecting his money, he skips town.
The Music Man is a fun and cleverly entertaining musical that’s appropriate for all ages.
