Canada Day celebrations in the Township of Langley include free activities at McLeod Athletic Park and Fort Langley.
Some years (but not in 2025) there is also a Canada Day event at Douglas Park in the City of Langley (which is actually a different municipality).

Canada Day in the Township of Langley
There are usually free activities at McLeod Athletic Park from 2:00 pm to 10:30 pm. In previous years there were also events at Willoughby Community Park and Aldergrove Athletic Park. However, this didn’t appear to be the case in 2025.
In addition to the above July 1st festivities in the Township of Langley, other Canada Day celebrations take place in Fort Langley. Another major event happens there later in the month too. The Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival took place from July 24th to 27th in 2025. If you like Jazz, you’ll want to attend this event the next time it happens! It includes both ticketed and free concerts.
Canada Day Event Activities
The Canada Day event in Langley is a good way to connect with others in the community. There are various activities for all to enjoy throughout the day.
On July 1st, festivities take place at McLeod Athletic Park which is located at 5687 216th Street. Families at the event can play fun games. There are arts and crafts activities as well as bouncy castles for younger kids. Expect to see local breweries selling drinks for adults. People can visit artisan booths and purchase snacks and meals from various food trucks on site. The celebrations typically conclude with a Drone Light Show at 10:15 pm.

Food Trucks at the Langley Canada Day Event
The Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival arranged the food options at the event in 2025. Participating food trucks included the following:

- Chi’s Chilly Treats (ice cream for pets)
- Corndog King Tent
- Grill with Bill
- Guerilla Q (BBQ)

- Mahshiko (Korean Fusion)
- Rainbow Ice Cream
- Rolled West Coast (ice cream)
- Say Cheese (grilled cheese)
- Triple O’s
Other events the Greater Vancouver Food Truck Festival is involved in include the Canada Day celebrations in Abbotsford and Maple Ridge. The same organization also hosts the White Rock Night Markets once on month (including on July 18th in 2025) and Chilliwack Ribfest on July 25th to 27th in 2025.
