Live music and other activities with the McBurney Plaza Summer Concert Series take place on Tuesday evenings throughout July at McBurney Plaza in Downtown Langley. The venue’s address is 20518 Fraser Highway. The fun happens between 6:00 and 8:00 pm. In 2026 the events take place on July 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th.
In 2026 the Sounds of Summer Concert Series happens every Wednesday between June 10th and August 26th except for July 15th and 22nd. This series takes place between 6:00 and 8:30 pm at Douglas Park Spirit Square at 20550 Douglas Crescent.
McBurney Plaza Summer Concert Series in Langley
The McBurney Plaza Summer Concert Series is a free summer music event in Downtown Langley. It features live entertainment and family-friendly activities. The series is one of Langley City’s most popular summer traditions. Hosted by the Downtown Langley Business Association, the events transform the heart of Downtown Langley into a lively outdoor music venue where residents and visitors can enjoy free live entertainment, community spirit and warm summer evenings.
The annual series features local and regional performers representing a variety of musical styles, from rock, blues and country to folk, soul and contemporary tunes. Every week is different. Along with great entertainment, attendees can enjoy giveaways, free treats and a welcoming atmosphere suitable for all ages.
At the events a lively outdoor atmosphere fills the plaza each week with live performances, a community gathering, and opportunities to enjoy the vibrant downtown area. Free treats, prize wheel activities and giveaways from Discover Langley City and other community partners add to the festive atmosphere.

The McBurney Plaza Summer Concert Series features four evenings of free live music throughout July in Downtown Langley. Below is the 2026 performance schedule.
Tuesday, July 7th, 2026
- 6:00 pm — Devon Webber & Richard Sera: two experienced musicians perform an energetic mix of popular songs and crowd favourites spanning multiple musical genres.
- 7:00 pm — The Rubberband: a high-energy funk and soul band led by vocalist Cat Madden delivers an evening of dance-worthy hits and powerful performances.
Tuesday, July 14th, 2026
- 6:00 pm — Tess & Maddy: the talented duo performs acoustic arrangements featuring harmonies, pop, country, jazz and classic rock influences.
- 7:00 pm — Wyper & Parker: Blues-inspired guitar work, soulful vocals and classic rock influences combine for an engaging live performance.
Tuesday, July 21st, 2026
- 6:00 pm — Cat & Mick: strong vocals, rich harmonies and creative interpretations of popular songs highlight this popular local duo.
- 7:00 pm — The Imaginary Band: original music, folk influences and impressive vocal harmonies create an entertaining full-band concert experience.
Tuesday, July 28th, 2026
- 6:00 pm — JIMI: a rising Canadian singer-songwriter performs a blend of blues, rock and contemporary music featuring thoughtful songwriting and powerful vocals.
- 7:00 pm — The Janzen Boys: a harmony-driven folk roots trio from Manitoba closes the series with original songs, traditional favourites and engaging family storytelling.
Sounds of Summer Concert Series in Langley
In 2026 the Sounds of Summer Concert Series happens on most Wednesdays between June 10th and August 26th. The events take place from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at Douglas Park Spirit Square at 20550 Douglas Crescent.
Hosted by Langley City Recreation, this series of events features two live bands each night. Similar to the McBurney Plaza Summer Concert Series on Tuesdays, the events on Wednesday evenings showcase a variety of musical genres. Different from the Tuesday evening events, however, and new for 2026, on Wednesdays there are also around 20 or so vendor stalls selling fresh produce and artisan products thanks to the Langley Community Farmers Market.
