The fantastic, family-friendly circus has shows at Lansdowne from May 15th to the 19th in 2025. There are all sorts of acrobats and other performers to enjoy. The circus also has shows at Surrey’s Guildford Town Centre the week before it goes to Richmond, from May 8th to 11th.

West Coast Amusements Carnival Rides in Richmond in 2025

West Coast Amusements is a travelling carnival that stops at different cities across Western Canada. The midway operation is the largest of its kind in the country, with three separate units that serve more than 100 locations. The company is owned and operated by the Hauser family which has been entertaining people for four generations.

The outdoor carnival stops in Richmond most years during or close to Spring Break (but after the school holidays in 2025). West Coast Amusements usually sets up at Lansdowne Centre Mall, located at 5300 No. 3 Road. In 2025 the carnival was at the shopping centre from March 28th until April 13th.

As usual, this year’s carnival takes place in the mall’s parking lot and features lots of family-friendly fun. The event offers a large selection of rides that appeal to different ages. There are small rides for young kids, mid-range rides for families and more extreme rides for thrill-seeking folks.

There are also midway games to play, similar to those available at the PNE Fair. Most years you can expect to see ring toss, horse racing and balloon darts games. Traditional carnival-style food stands are on-site too. They sell things like shaved ice, mini donuts and other treats.

Admission Rates

You don’t have to pay to get into the carnival area at Lansdowne Centre. You do, though, have to pay for the rides and games you play.

Similar to previous years, tickets are available at the on-site box office in 2025. Each ride costs between three and six coupons per person, and coupons are available in different bundles. Single gold coupons cost $1.50. A book of 20 coupons costs $27 and a book of 40 coupons costs $48. There’s also a special flyer available at the mall’s Guest Service desk. In it you can get six rides for $24.

For folks who want to make the most out of the carnival, Wrist Band Passes are also available for $50 per person in 2025. Wristbands grant access to all of the carnival rides for any one day. However, games and food still cost extra.
