THE CIRCUS IS COMING!

The next big event at Lansdowne Mall this year is the Royal Canadian International Circus. It’s in Surrey (at Guildford Town Centre) from May 2nd to 12th and then at Lansdowne Centre in Richmond from May 16th to 20th. It’s an awesome circus and highly recommended! Kids love it! It’s also very affordable, especially when you use the promo code VANSBESTPLACES which gives you 2-for-1 pricing on general admission!

West Coast Amusements Carnival Rides in Richmond

West Coast Amusements is a travelling carnival that stops at different cities across Western Canada. The midway operation is the largest of its kind in the country, with three separate units that serve more than 100 locations. The company is owned and operated by the Hauser family which has been entertaining people for four generations.

The outdoor carnival stops in Richmond most years during or close to Spring Break (but after the school holidays in 2024). West Coast Amusements usually sets up at Lansdowne Centre Mall, located at 5300 No. 3 Road. In 2024 the carnival is at the shopping centre from March 29th until April 14th.

As usual, this year’s carnival takes place in the mall’s parking lot and features lots of family-friendly fun. The event offers a large selection of rides that appeal to different ages. There are small rides for young kids, mid-range rides for families and more extreme rides for thrill-seeking folks. There are also midway games to play, similar to those available at the PNE Fair. Most years you can expect to see ring toss, horse racing and balloon darts games. Traditional carnival-style food stands are on-site too. They sell things like shaved ice, mini donuts and other treats.
