Highlands United Productions is a North Vancouver theatre group that puts on a show every two years. In 2025 it’s 10 Million Stars which is a musical revue.
This year Highlands United Productions presented “10 Million Stars – and the Stories They Could Tell.” It ran from March 5th to 8th at Highlands United Church. Visit the Brown Paper Tickets website for more details.
Musical Revue Theatre at Highlands United
This year’s musical revue was a collection of many of the production company’s favourite songs from the vast world of musical theatre. The cast of more than 40 actors and musicians had been busy preparing over 20 musical selections to tell their stories in their own unique setting. Some of the numbers included in this year’s production were from Hair, South Pacific, The Greatest Showman and other musicals. See further below for the full schedule.
The 2025 production was directed by Doug and Gillian Irwin and choreographed by Carolyn Bergstrand. The musical direction was by Geordie Roberts.

Where, When and How Much
10 Million Stars the musical revue happened in North Vancouver’s Edgemont Village. The performance ran from Wednesday, March 5th, to Saturday, March 8th in 2025. Taking place at Highlands United Church, the venue’s address is 3255 Edgemont Boulevard. The church is just a short drive from both Capilano Suspension Bridge and Grouse Mountain in North Vancouver.
All shows started at 7:30 pm. Tickets cost $35.00, or $39.09 including online fees.
Free parking was available across the street from the church, under the Shoppers Drug Mart and Thrifty’s Supermarket building. Access to the parkade is off Ayr Street.
Visit the Brown Paper Tickets website for more details about the show.
What to Expect at the Concert
Shows with Highlands United Productions take place at Highlands United Church. The theatre is the sanctuary (which has wonderfully comfortable, modern, cushioned chairs). It’s an attractive facility and great for both church services and live performances. The church was the venue for 10 Million Stars. The show wasn’t a “church” event and it didn’t have religious components (other than what one might expect in the lyrics of a few Broadway musicals).
10 Million Stars was a compilation of songs from a number of Broadway and other famous musicals. It showcased songs that everyone was familiar with, plus likely a few new ones too. Featuring a cast of over 36 entertainers, Highlands United Productions was thrilled to have many cast members from its past productions featured in this show.
At the show you could expect to be thoroughly entertained with professional-level singing and dancing, all of which was accompanied by a live band. Highlands United Productions and its crew are all very talented.
Visit the Brown Paper Tickets website for more details about the show.

About Highlands United Productions and its Past Shows
Highlands United Productions is a theatre company based out of Highlands United Church in North Vancouver. Although a North Shore-based theatre group, its actors and singers are from across the Lower Mainland. Also, despite being produced by a “church-affiliated” organization, the quality of the performances is as high as those of any of Vancouver’s professional theatre companies. We’ve attended a number of their shows and have always been both thoroughly entertained and impressed. Their latest production was no exception.
Every couple of years Highlands United Productions puts on a show. They are always musicals. Past productions have included Jesus Christ Superstar (2014), Fiddler on the Roof (2016) and The Music Man (2018). In 2020 it was going to be Anything Goes, but that got cancelled due to the pandemic. The most recent show, prior to the current one, in 2023, was Lights Up!
Over half of the company’s previous productions have been famous full-length musical plays. The most recent show from a couple of years ago, Lights Up!, however, featured an evening of music from a variety of Broadway and other famous musicals. 10 Million Stars … and the Stories They Could Tell in 2025 was the same.

Tips & Advice
Below are some tips and suggestions to help you get the most of your experience at the Highlands United show.
TIP #1: There is parking on the streets nearby and underground at the Grosvenor Building across the street from Highlands Church and accessed off Ayr Street.
TIP #2: When booking the show on Brown Paper Tickets be sure to select the correct dates and number of attendees. This is important as tickets are not refundable.
TIP #3: Plan to arrive early to give yourself time to find parking and enjoy a glass of wine before the show (and then another one during the intermission).
TIP #4: Cantina Norte is a Mexican restaurant that’s just a block away from Highlands United Church. In 2025 the restaurant was offering attendees of 10 Million Stars a 25% discount on dinner between March 5th to 8th. If you had a ticket to the performance, you showed it to them on the date of your show and you saved some money. The discount applied to food and not to alcoholic beverages.
TIP #5: If you like musicals, then also be sure to see a show with Theatre Under the Stars at Stanley Park in the summer. Another show you might like to see, usually in the spring, is Shen Yun. It took place at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on April 9th to 13th in 2025. Dates for its performance in 2026 are to be confirmed.
TIP #6: Other North Shore-based theatre groups include Presentation House Theatre, Deep Cove Stage Society and First Impressions Theatre. They put on great community theatre productions too.
