Dead Fellows Haunted Brewhouse

Strange Fellows Brewing crafts unique and extraordinary beverages in East Vancouver. The brewery sells all sorts of beers, wines and ciders, and also hosts a variety of events throughout the year. In the days leading up to Halloween, the venue transforms into Dead Fellows Haunted Brewhouse, an immersive haunted walk-through with live actors, eerie set pieces and brewery-themed scares.

The haunted house comes with an interesting backstory. A group of brewers died, supposedly, when the city’s East Bridge collapsed over 100 years ago. The tragic accident happened on the same grounds as where the brewery now stands, and the group of brewers has returned from the dead. They are on the hunt for bodies to mix into their new drinks!

Dead Fellows Haunted Brewhouse is an eerie, self-guided experience. It’s terrifying at night with frightening creatures and surprises. Taking place indoors at the brewery, the event features live actors, scary decorations and more.

About the Brewery

Strange Fellows Brewing takes pride in crafting “strange” beverages, but in a good way. The brewhouse doesn’t really make anything with human blood! The brewery specializes in sour and barrel-aged beers, but also experiments with other styles. The place has been making unique drinks at its East Vancouver location since late 2014.

The brewery has grown into a popular establishment to visit. There is a tasting room open daily with several beers, ciders, small-batch BC wines and non-alcoholic options on tap. The venue also offers casual food such as pizzas, Jamaican patties, pretzels and a few other pub-style items. The atmosphere is warm, social and inclusive. People can dine indoors or outside on the covered patio.
