Celtic Fest is an annual event celebrating Celtic culture at the Museum of Surrey. It takes place in Cloverdale a week or so before St. Patrick’s Day.

EVENTS AT THE MUSEUM OF SURREY

Events happening at the museum in early 2026 include the following:

  • Family Day at MOS (on February 14th) – a free event with board games, a scavenger hunt, face painting, craft activities, bingo and more. Raj the Raccoon will be there too.
  • Lunar New Year Event (on February 21st) – a free event celebrating the Lunar New Year with live entertainment, dancing, storytelling and other family-friendly activities.
  • Celtic Fest (on March 7th) – a free, family-friendly event showcasing Celtic music, dance and culture.

In addition to the above, the museum also has a special, temporary exhibition called Our Connection to Hockey. Running until April 26th, it features hockey displays, stories, artefacts and hands-on activities. When attending one of the museum’s special events, be sure to check out the hockey exhibits, and all of the museum’s permanent exhibition displays too.

Celtic Fest Event at the Museum in Surrey

Not to be confused with CelticFest which is a Celtic festival with various events in the City of Vancouver, Celtic Fest is a free, one-day event at the Museum of Surrey. In 2026 the event runs from 1:00 until 4:00 pm on Saturday, March 7th.

Activities at the museum’s Celtic Fest event include dance performances, live music, cultural displays and kid-friendly activities. There is also a photo booth, arts & crafts, and a few market vendors.

About the Museum of Surrey

The Museum of Surrey is a really good museum. It’s full of interesting historical displays and information. The museum is also very child-friendly, and admission is free!

The museum’s address is 17710 56a Avenue in Surrey. It’s just a few blocks from the Cloverdale Fairgrounds, where events like the Cloverdale Rodeo take place.
