West Coast Amusements hosts a carnival at Surrey’s Guildford Town Centre during Spring Break. The event features rides, games, food trucks and more.
The carnival runs from March 14th to 23rd in 2025.
TIP: Another great event at Guildford Town Centre in the spring is the Royal Canadian International Circus. In 2025 it’s at the mall from Thursday, May 8th, until the Mother’s Day Sunday of May 11th. And guess what! With the circus, if you use the promo code VANSBESTPLACES, you can get 2-for-1 pricing on general admission! It’s a great circus, and affordable!
Spring Break Carnival at Guildford Mall
West Coast Amusements is a touring midway operation that visits cities all around North America between April and September each year. The company offers more than 100 different rides, including Kiddieland rides for children as well as more thrilling experiences for older youth and adults.
In the spring of 2025, West Coast Amusements sets up at Guildford Town Centre in Surrey. The mall is located at 10355 152nd Street, with the carnival in the mall’s large outdoor parking lot.
The midway is a fun place to spend some time outdoors and enjoy family-friendly fun (weather permitting). The event runs during Spring Break in 2025, making it an especially good time to visit the mall. There are all sorts of rides to try, including a Ferris Wheel, Carousel, Tornado ride and more. The attraction also features carnival-style games with prizes to win. Food trucks are on site as well serving traditional fair food (like cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs and that sort of thing).

OTHER SPRING EVENTS WITH AMUSEMENT RIDES
If you like amusement rides, there are lots of events that have them later in the spring too. There is a week of them to enjoy during the Surrey Vaisakhi Festival when it takes place in mid-April. Also in Surrey, the Cloverdale Rodeo has great ones on the Victoria Day Long Weekend in May, as does Delta during Ladner May Days on May 23rd to 25th. Of course, there is also Playland at the PNE in Vancouver which starts up for the season on May 17th in 2025.
Later in the year, in the summer, another Surrey event with amusement rides is the Canada Day event at Bill Reid Millennium Park on July 1st. That’s a great event too!
Carnival Ticket Prices
West Coast Amusement rides typically require between three and six tickets each. The tickets are only available at the event (so not online).
Single tickets in 2025 cost $1.50. If you plan on trying multiple rides, there are packs of tickets available as well. The Red Book comes with 20 tickets and costs $27. There’s a Blue Book with 40 tickets for $48 too. The Surrey event also offers a wristband that includes access to all rides for $50, but only for one day.
Another good deal is available at the Guildford Mall Guest Services Desk. The info centre is located on the upper level beside the Bath & Body Works store. There you can get a coupon that gives you access to 6 rides for $24.
(Note: Exact prices and details above are subject to change.)
Tips and Advice
The following information should help you make the most of your experience at the midway.
TIP #1: To get on any of the rides, you need to be at least 2 years old and 36 inches tall (or 42 inches in some cases). Don’t expect to be able to bring your newborns or toddlers along on any of the rides. The age and height restrictions even apply to rides in the Kiddieland area.
TIP #2: West Coast Amusements doesn’t offer refunds. In cases of poor weather, some rides may be closed. For the best selection of rides, make sure to go on a day with good weather.
TIP #3: While in the area, Guildford Town Centre is a great place to get some shopping done. It’s the largest mall in Surrey.
