Dining at the Sutton Place

The Sutton Place Vancouver has two dining options for hotel guests and visitors. One is the Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar and the other is the Gerard Lounge.

Ocean Wise Seafood LogoThe Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar is a highly-rated restaurant with a seafood-focused menu. It’s also a participant in the Ocean Wise program, which means that its menu includes sustainably harvested fish and seafood products.

The Boulevard Kitchen & Oyster Bar is usually open for breakfast from 6:30 am to 10:30 am and for dinner from 4:30 pm until 10:00 pm. Specials at the restaurant include happy hour from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm daily. Brunch can be enjoyed on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30 am to 2:00 pm. (Note: Times and other details are subject to change.)

An alternative dining option at the Sutton Place Hotel is the Gerard Lounge. The Lounge is open from 5:00 pm until 12:00 am and features a large cocktail and drink menu along with similar food to the Boulevard Kitchen. The Lounge is unique in that it is designed in an early 20th-century style and features both a candy bar and an oyster bar.

TIP: The Boulevard Kitchen often hosts extra-fancy Sunday brunches on special occasions. To learn more, and for a list of other similar venues, see our articles about Vancouver Easter Brunches and Vancouver Mother’s Day Brunches.

The Hotel’s Green Initiatives

This hotel participates in the Green Key Eco-Rating program which assesses the sustainable initiatives of businesses and organizations. The Sutton Place has recycling containers in its guest rooms for paper, plastic, metal, glass and compostable waste. There are also convenient charging stations for electric vehicles.

Housekeepers and other staff members encourage the re-using of towels for guests who are there for longer stays. Also, when towels or linens become no longer usable they are turned into rags for cleaning or donated to a charity. The kitchen staff also ensures that food waste is composted properly and that oil used for cooking is recycled. As mentioned above, the Boulevard Kitchen participates in the Ocean Wise program.
