The Executive Parker Hotel
The Parker Hotel is a high-rise hotel in the south end of the City of Vancouver‘s downtown core. Located at 1379 Howe Street, it’s a short stroll from the edge of Yaletown, the False Creek Seawall and Davie Street in Vancouver’s West End. It’s also about a 10-minute walk or five-minute taxi ride from the Yaletown-Roundhouse SkyTrain Station.
Harbour Ferries that sail to Granville Island and elsewhere in False Creek depart from a dock just a 10-minute walk from the hotel.
The Parker Hotel is owned by Executive Hotels and Resorts which is a Vancouver-based chain that operates several other properties in the Lower Mainland. It has hotels elsewhere in North America too. This particular hotel has 124 rooms. Out of these, around 26 are one or two bedroom suites with living rooms, floor-to-ceiling windows and other bonus amenities.
Other hotels in the same chain include the Le Soleil and EXchange Hotel in downtown Vancouver. There is also the Seaside Hotel in North Vancouver and the Executive Inn in Whistler.
Parker Hotel Amenities
The Parker Hotel has a couple of amenities that differentiate it from other Executive Hotels in Vancouver. For example, guests are often offered one free Tesla chauffeur-driven limo ride to any nearby destination (subject to availability). Complimentary bicycle rentals are also available. Okanagan Wine Tours can be planned and purchased with the help of hotel staff as well.
All rooms at the Parker Hotel feature a coffee maker, bottled water, a security safe, bathrobes and also a clock radio with speakers that connect to your electronic devices. Select suites offer additional amenities like private bar fridges, sun decks and dining tables.
The hotel has a lobby bar which connects to an outdoor (but covered and heated) patio. There’s also La Vallee Restaurant on the second floor which offers breakfast buffet.
Parker Rooftop Restaurant
Another on-site dining option is the Parker Rooftop Restaurant, which is also a good spot for people who aren’t staying at the hotel.
The restaurant takes advantage of the fact that it’s over 10 storeys up in the air by providing patrons with floor-to-ceiling windows and three patios to sit in. There’s live music each Saturday and Sunday evening, and also special Date Night deals on food and wine on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Parker Rooftop Restaurant is open daily from 3:00 pm until late, except for during the winter when it’s closed on Mondays. For those who want to explore downtown, the location isn’t far from some other Best Places to Eat in Vancouver.
