Canada Day in Chilliwack

The City of Chilliwack hosts an annual Canada Day celebration at a new location – Chilliwack Heritage Park. It includes live entertainment, food trucks and more.

Canada Day Event in Chilliwack

There are Canada Day events in most Lower Mainland communities on July 1st, and Chilliwack is no exception. The city hosts an evening of free performances and other activities each year.

Note: The celebrations in 2026 happen in a new location – Chilliwack Heritage Park at 44140 Luckakuck Way.

There are lots of festivities to enjoy in Chilliwack on July 1st. There’s a pancake breakfast from 8:00 am until 11:00 am at Evergreen Hall (at 9291 Corbould Street).

There are special ice skating and swimming sessions at local recreation centres. Chilliwack Landing Leisure Centre and Cheam Leisure Centre are open for toonie swims. Sardis Sports Complex hosts a skating event from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm (where admission is free but skate rentals aren’t).

Evening Event Details

Chilliwack’s main Canada Day event on July 1st takes place from 4:00 pm to 10:30 pm. The festivities are at its new location at Chilliwack Heritage Park, located at 44140 Luckakuck Way. Be aware that this is different from previous years.

Lots of people attend the event, so arrive early or expect to park further away. For the past few years now, the event has been headlined by a choreographed drone light show at around 10:00 pm. We are excited to say that it will be happening again in 2026!

Heritage Park Activities

Below is the stage schedule for the 2026 event.

4:00 pm – Steven Marriott
5:15 pm – Opening Ceremonies
5:30 pm – Torquoiser
7:00 pm – Adam Cebula
8:30 pm – Double Overtime Band

The event features a beer garden for adults, plus food trucks and several market vendors. In 2026 there’s also a Kids Zone with free face painting and balloon twisting stations, inflatable structures, a monster foam show, miniature golf and more. The event also includes roaming magic by Norden The Magician.
