The musical How The Grinch Stole Christmas! is at The Centre in Vancouver in November 2023. Based on Dr. Seuss’ classic tale, it gets fabulous reviews.

The show took place at The Centre for the Performing Arts from November 14th to 18th in 2023. We saw it on the opening night and it was wonderful! The Grinch and Cindy-Lou Who were especially amazing, but so were the costumes, set and everything about the show! It’s a terrific production for people of all ages.

How The Grinch Stole Christmas in Vancouver

How The Grinch Stole Christmas! is a touring musical that has put on shows in dozens of cities over the past sixteen years. It’s a very popular and highly-rated production. In fact, the show broke box office records on Broadway for two straight years!

In November 2023 the musical visited Vancouver for seven shows in five days. Each performance ran for about 85 minutes. It’s an awesome production that you won’t want to miss!

About the Musical

How The Grinch Stole Christmas! is based on the Dr. Seuss book of the same name. The musical brings the holiday-themed story to life with talented singers and performers. Featured songs include “Welcome Christmas”, “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” and many more.

The musical is family-friendly and great for all ages. There are all sorts of set decorations and props made to resemble the book’s illustrations. The story is both heart-warming and funny. It’s a wholesome show that’s perfect for the Christmas season!

Location and Showtimes

How The Grinch Stole Christmas! shows took place at The Centre in Vancouver. The venue is located at 777 Homer Street. It’s in a lively area of downtown near Robson Street, about halfway between the Vancouver Art Gallery and BC Place Stadium.

In 2023 the performances ran daily from November 14th to 18th. Showtimes for each day are listed below.

Tuesday, November 14th – 7:00 pm
Wednesday, November 15th – 7:00 pm
Thursday, November 16th – 7:00 pm
Friday, November 17th – 7:00 pm
Saturday, November 18th – 11:00 am, 3:00 pm and 7:00 pm

Grinch Ticket Prices

Admission to the musical varied depending on the day you went and the seats you selected. When we checked, rates for the weekday shows were less expensive than the Saturday shows.

Tickets to see How The Grinch Stole Christmas! on the Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday cost between about $80 and $130 each. Admission to the Saturday shows, however, ranged from $85 up to $170 per person.

Tips and Suggestions

The following advice should help you make the most out of your experience at How The Grinch Stole Christmas! shows.

TIP #1: The Centre doesn’t offer any on-site parking. If driving to the event, you’ll have to park on the streets or in nearby lots. We recommend using public transit. The venue is about a 5-minute walk away from the Granville SkyTrain Station.

TIP #2: How The Grinch Stole Christmas! runs for nearly 90 minutes. There aren’t any intermissions or breaks. Assuming you don’t want to miss any of the action, be sure to use the washroom before the show begins. That goes double if you have little kids!

TIP #3: Looking for somewhere to eat before or after the show? Snacks and drinks are available at the venue. However, there are also lots of great restaurants in the area.
