The Dance Centre
The Dance Centre is the name of both a Vancouver-based non-profit organization and a venue. Founded in the mid-1980s, the non-profit operates the building and hosts various events and dance-related programs.
The Dance Centre, the venue, is home to six dance studios and a small theatre. Since its opening in 2001, over 1.2 million people have attended its shows, rehearsals and dance classes.

About the Dance Centre
The Scotiabank Dance Theatre was founded in 2001. The building was designed by Architectura in collaboration with renowned Canadian architect Arthur Erickson. The venue has cemented its status as a major development in Canadian dance.
The Dance Centre, a seven-storied, 32,000 square foot venue, is where you can take dance classes. You can also see performances, and even rent the facilities. Tickets to performances can be purchased in advance online or at the door on the day, one hour before the show.
