The Vancouver Mural Festival features the painting of murals in Vancouver’s Mount Pleasant neighbourhood. One of its events most years is a giant street party.
NOTE: The festival has been CANCELLED for 2025. The organizers say that last year was the event’s final year.
The festival used to take place in the first half of August. Other events taking place around that time most years include the African Descent Festival, Chilliwack Fair & Rodeo, BC Dumpling Festival and Chilliwack Corn Maze. Also in early August, it’s the BC Day Long Weekend with events like the Chilliwack Corn Festival, Brigade Days at Fort Langley, White Rock Sea Festival, Vancouver Pride Festival and a variety of other fun things.
