North Vancouver’s Lonsdale Quay Hotel

Lonsdale Quay Market and Hotel

The Lonsdale Quay Hotel is a boutique hotel located at North Vancouver’s waterfront. It’s in the same building as the Lonsdale Quay Public Market.

Lonsdale Quay Hotel

Set right on the waterfront of Vancouver Harbour, the Lonsdale Quay Hotel is a small but fairly modern hotel. The hotel features 70 rooms ranging from standard accommodations up to the Carrie Cates suite which has its own in-room Jacuzzi tub.

The hotel currently has a 4-star rating on TripAdvisor. Guests like the hotel’s waterfront views (from some but not all of the rooms), the general location and the lack of carpet in many of the rooms.

The Lonsdale Quay Hotel’s address is 123 Carrie Cates Court. It is situated directly above the public market. The hotel occupies the third and fourth floors of Lonsdale Quay.

Nearby Attractions

One of the best things about the Lonsdale Quay Hotel is its proximity to some of the North Shore’s most popular attractions. The hotel is situated above Lonsdale Quay and the public market there. It is within walking distance of all major attractions in the Lower Lonsdale area.

Lonsdale Quay and Public Market

Known for its iconic Q tower, Lonsdale Quay is a landmark feature of the North Vancouver waterfront. The area has a walking path along the ocean that connects Waterfront Park to the Shipyards District and everything in between.

Within Lonsdale Quay is the Lonsdale Quay Public Market. The market features over 60 vendors selling a variety of goods and services. Most of the vendors in the market are independently-owned and operated, which makes shopping there especially unique and enjoyable.

Shipyards District

The Shipyards is an interesting neighbourhood in the Lower Lonsdale area. The area features attractions such as Shipbuilders’ Square, which hosts concerts in the summer, as well as the Pipe Shop, which is a restored historic building.

One of the newest additions to the district is Shipyard Commons which is home to the biggest outdoor skating rink in Metro Vancouver (although it didn’t operate in the winter of 2020/2021 due to COVID-19).

For more details about the neighbourhood, see our article about the Shipyards District.

Lower Lonsdale Area

Other popular sites in the Lower Lonsdale area include the Polygon Gallery and Museum of North Vancouver. There are also lots of shops and restaurants in the area.
