Township of Langley on Canada Day

Canada Day celebrations in the Township of Langley include free activities, live entertainment and food trucks at Aldergrove Athletic Park.

On July 1st there are also Canada Day festivities in Fort Langley, which, like Aldergrove, is a community within the Township of Langley. There is also a Canada Day event at Douglas Park in the City of Langley (which is actually a completely different municipality).

Canada Day in the Township of Langley

In 2023 Canada Day festivities took place at Aldergrove Athletic Park. The venue’s address is 26845 27th Avenue in Aldergrove (which is a community in Langley). The event happened in the park’s North Complex. This past year’s event ran from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm on July 1st.

In addition to the July 1st festivities in Aldergrove, other Canada Day celebrations take place in Fort Langley. Another major event happens there later in the month too. The Odlum Brown Fort Langley Jazz & Arts Festival took place on July 20th to 23rd in 2023. If you like Jazz, you’ll want to attend that event next time! It includes both ticketed and free concerts.

Canada Day Event Activities

The Canada Day event in Langley is a good way to connect with others in the community. There are various activities for all to enjoy throughout the day.

On July 1st, Aldergrove Athletic Park has a stage with live entertainment. Expect to see performances by dancers and musicians. There will also be some magic. The full entertainment schedule for 2023 is further below.

Families at the event can also play mini golf and other fun games. There are bouncy castles and inflatables for younger kids as well. Folks can visit exhibitor booths and purchase snacks and meals from various food trucks on site.

The Canada Day event at Aldergrove Athletic Park offers family-friendly entertainment. The stage schedule for 2023 is listed below. (Note: Exact details were subject to change.)

  • 11:00 am – Karima Essa
  • 12:00 pm – Norden the Magician
  • 1:05 pm – Wild Moccasin Dancers
  • 2:10 pm – Canada Day Ceremony
  • 3:10 pm – Penny Pom Pom
  • 4:15 pm – Kunda African Culture Music & Dance
