Harvest Days at VanDusen Garden

Harvest Days is an autumnal event in October at VanDusen Botanical Garden in Vancouver. The event also has a bit of a Halloween theme.

In 2026 Harvest Days runs on select dates between September 26th and October 18th. The event includes special fall decorations, child-friendly activities and live entertainment.

Harvest Days at VanDusen Garden

Harvest Days is a seasonal event at VanDusen Botanical Garden. Located at 5251 Oak Street in Vancouver, the famous garden has special autumnal and harvest-themed decorations and family-friendly activities in the fall.

At the event there are fun arts and crafts activities for kids to enjoy. The attraction’s maze and veggie garden are also decorated, making for wonderful photo opportunities.

Although not specifically a “Halloween” event, you can expect to see lots of pumpkins around the attraction. Harvest Days also offers a variety of food vendors on-site. In the past they have sold things like grilled cheese sandwiches, coffee, popcorn and more.

Another big component of Harvest Days is the live music. Across from the maze, guests are treated to Bluegrass and Folk songs.

VanDusen Garden used to host a Glow in the Garden Halloween event. However, it hasn’t happened since before the pandemic. Today, Harvest Days is a successor to that event. Instead of a very overt Halloween theme, Harvest Days is all about autumn and the harvest season.

Plus, on the opening weekend of Harvest Days, the Artists for Conservation Festival takes place at the same location and is included with admission. The exhibit features art demonstrations, wildlife shows, cultural performances and more.

Autumn Activities at VanDusen Garden

Admission Details

Admission to Harvest Days is included with admission to VanDusen Garden. Tickets are available both online and at the attraction.

Online prices for 2026 (before taxes and online service fees) are listed below.

Adults (ages 19 to 64) – $13.27
Seniors (65+) – $10.61
Youth (13 to 18) – $9.28
Children (ages 5 to 12) – $6.63

Tickets purchased in-person at the attraction cost up to $2.50 more per person. Little kids ages 4 and under enter Harvest Days for free, as do VanDusen Garden Members. All tickets are non-refundable.

Event Dates and Hours

In 2026 Harvest Days takes place on the Saturdays and Sundays of September 26th and 27th, plus October 3rd and 4th, 10th and 11th, and 17th and 18th. It’s also open on the Thanksgiving Day Monday.

Daily hours for the special Harvest Days activities are from 10:30 am until 4:30 pm.

In 2026 the live music sessions run from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm and from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm each day. As of early September, this year’s entertainment schedule is to be confirmed.
