Carmana Hotel & Suites in Vancouver

Carmana Hotel & Suites is a good hotel that’s located right in the middle of downtown Vancouver at 1128 Alberni Street. It’s just a few blocks away from the Vancouver Art Gallery to the east and Canada Place and Coal Harbour to the north. Stanley Park is about a 20-minute walk away and there are plenty of Public Transit options near the hotel as well.

Carmana is a three-star hotel which means that it’s not as fancy as some of the five-star downtown options (like the DOUGLAS or the AZUR Legacy Collection Hotel, which are also StayVancouverHotels partners). But what it does have to offer are relatively spacious room sizes (for the price) and good functionality.

Hotel Suites and Amenities

All the suites at Carmana include full kitchens as well as a separated bedroom and living room area. They also have a small office area with a desk and chair accompanied by large windows looking out over the bustling downtown core.

There’s a dining table in the living room area and a grocery store directly across the street from the hotel. That means that those who want to save a little bit on meals during their stay can either grab some ingredients to cook for themselves or get takeout from a nearby restaurant to eat in their room.

At the hotel there are both one and two-bedroom suites available. They are all either 620 or 820 square feet in size. There are both Queen and King bed suites for the one-bedroom rooms, and the two-bedroom units vary between two Queens, a King and a Queen, or a King and two Twins. Some of the two-bedroom suites also have two bathrooms.

As of early 2025, room rates during off-peak times start at around $220 per night, plus taxes and fees. During busier times of the year (like on weekends in the summer) rates might start at around $400 or more.

Longer-Term Stays
