Western Golf Expo at Tradex

The Western GOLFEXPO is a Lower Mainland golf show that features seminars, retail booths and information about local golf courses and destinations.

The event is for golfers of all levels, from beginners to experts.

There used to be the Vancouver GOLFEXPO which took place at the PNE Forum in the past. Organized by the same people, the event in 2023 had a new name and a new location. The Western GOLFEXPO happened on February 24th and 25th in 2023 in the Fraser Valley at the Abbotsford Tradex Centre.

If you like golf, you’ll want to attend this event! It’s not happening in the Lower Mainland in 2024, however. Hopefully it’ll be back in a future year.

The Western GOLFEXPO is an event for golf enthusiasts. It’s a consumer trade show full of golf-related vendors, talks and activities. Not only is it a great place to learn about different courses throughout the province, but you can actually test out some of the latest golf products in an indoor driving range!

At the event expect to see lots of booths where you can learn about different equipment and places to go golfing. You can buy things from many of the vendor and venue representatives and get special deals. You can also enter to win a number of contests.

After happening as a virtual event in 2021 and 2022 because of COVID-19, the Western GOLFEXPO took place in its usual in-person format in 2023.

When and Where

The Western GOLFEXPO ran on the Friday and Saturday of February 24th and 25th in 2023. Hours on the Friday were from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and hours on the Saturday were from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm. It’s not happening in the Lower Mainland in 2024.

This past year’s event was held at the TRADEX Centre located at 1190 Cornell Street in Abbotsford. The venue is about an hour’s drive from Vancouver. It’s also right beside the Abbotsford International Airport. Parking at TRADEX costs $10 per day.

In previous years the event took place at the PNE Forum in Vancouver. The event’s location and other details in 2025 and future years are to be confirmed.

Admission to the GOLFEXPO

Ticket prices in 2023 depended on your age. Admission for everyone ages 17 and above cost $14 per person. Juniors under the age of 17 got in for free with a paying adult.

A few ticket bundles were available in 2023 as well, all of which included at least one BC Golfer’s Red Book (which is full of discounts for various golf courses throughout the province). A bundle of one Red Book and one ticket to the Western GOLFEXPO cost $46. One Red Book and two tickets, meanwhile, cost $59. Lastly, a bundle of two Red Books and two tickets cost $89.

Golf Show Seminar

What to Expect

The same as in past years, the 2023 Western GOLFEXPO featured plenty of things to see and do. The Seminar Stage offered live auctions, PGA instructions, fashion shows and more throughout the duration of the event. There was also an area with retail vendors where you could browse or purchase golf clothing, accessories and other products. Exhibitor booths on-site included club manufacturers and golf organizations, as well as both local and destination golf courses. There were also vendors selling food and beverages.

Each year there are several places within the expo where you can actually play some golf (or at least practice your swings). There’s a large indoor driving range where you can take a lesson or try out new golf equipment from brands like Cobra, PXG and Cleveland. There’s also a putting green for all ages to enjoy. Prizes are available to win for those who choose to compete in the expo’s Long Drive Contest and Long Putt Contest.

The expo also includes the 19th Hole Lounge which is close to the indoor driving range. It’s a place where you can sit and enjoy a meal. Food options include burgers, pizza and deli snacks. There are also cold beverages available at the expo’s bar.
