BC Sportsmen’s Show in Metro Vancouver

BC Sportsmen's Show

The BC Sportsmen’s Show is a consumer trade show for fishing, hunting and outdoor enthusiasts. It takes place in March at the TRADEX Centre in Abbotsford.

The show is produced by the American company Marketplace Events (MPE) which is based in Ohio. Other Lower Mainland events hosted by the same large US-based corporation are the BC Home & Garden Show (which also happens in March) and the Vancouver Fall Home Show in autumn.

In 2025 the BC Sportsmen’s Show runs from March 7th to 9th. Admission costs about $18 when you buy your tickets online. Parking costs around $10 extra.

This year the show happens on the same weekend as the Festival du Bois francophone festival, Coastal First Nations Dance Festival, and Study & Go Abroad Fair. There are lots of shows happening in the Lower Mainland too, including concerts with Jim Byrnes on the North Shore and Chor Leoni‘s PopCappella 3D in Vancouver. For people who like theatre, there is the musical Pump Boys & Dinettes with First Impressions Theatre and the murder-mystery And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie with Metro Theatre.

For a list of what else is happening in the Lower Mainland, see our March Calendar of Events. To learn about the BC Sportsmen’s Show, continue reading.

The BC Sportsmen’s Show in 2025

Taking place in early March each year, the BC Sportsmen’s Show serves as a sign of the impending spring and summer seasons for those who love the outdoors.

At the event there are over 100 exhibitors. It’s a massive market featuring anything and everything outdoors-related. The BC Sportsmen’s Show advertises itself as the largest event of its kind anywhere in the province.

There are fishing boats and gear, equipment for hunting, camping and hiking, various land vehicles, and more. There are even paintball guns on sale for those who want to take them to one of the Lower Mainland’s Paintball Facilities.

BC ADVENTURE SHOW & BC BIKE SHOW

If you like outdoor adventures, especially cycling and mountain biking, then two other events you might also want to check out are the BC Bike Show and Outdoor Adventure & Travel Show. They take place jointly at the Vancouver Convention Centre, the weekend before the BC Sportsmen’s Show, on the Saturday and Sunday of March 1st and 2nd in 2025. (TIP: If you buy a bike from North Vancouver-based OHM Bikes at the shows in Vancouver, and you mention “Vancouver’s Best Places”, they will give you an extra $100 discount on your bike! And that’s on top of the specials they are already offering at the shows!)
