Morgan Creek Golf in Surrey

Morgan Creek is a par 72 golf course that plays 6955 yards from its championship tees. Players of all skill levels are welcome as there are four other tee boxes to play from as well.

Morgan Creek claims to stay dry throughout the year, which is unlike most other courses in Metro Vancouver. It is also said to be well-maintained. When we played the course in November of 2023, it was definitely in good condition. The fairways and greens were dry, despite the fact that it had rained the night before. The drainage was impressive!

The course at Morgan Creek was designed by Thomas McBroom who is a well-known Canadian-based architect and golf course designer. The venue features thick trees between its fairways and lots of houses. There are also well-placed hazards to avoid. The course has great views of Mount Baker as well (at least on clear sunny days).

Morgan Creek has a few practice facilities, including a driving range with grass tees and separate chipping and putting greens that golfers use to warm-up.

Where is Morgan Creek?

Morgan Creek Golf Course is located at 3500 Morgan Creek Way in South Surrey. It’s about 10 km east of Crescent Beach and 6 km north of White Rock.

If driving from Vancouver, take Highway 99. Follow signs for 32nd Avenue Diversion and then turn left onto 32nd Avenue. After continuing for approximately 1.5 km, turn left onto Morgan Creek Way and the course’s entrance is on the right side.

Green Fees

Golfing rates at Morgan Creek vary based on the season and time of day.

In the fall of 2023, one round of golf for an adult before 12 pm from Monday to Thursday costs $80. Golf on Friday or on the weekend before 12 pm costs $90. Any round after 12 pm costs $60. Warm-up buckets are usually included with green fees (or at least they were in November 2023).

The above rates are offered until around the end of February in 2024. Spring rates are typically about $10 more.

Some of Vancouver’s top golf courses we’ve played at recently and have written articles about include Pagoda Ridge, Redwoods and Meadow Gardens. Another one of our favourite places is the Sandpiper Resort near Harrison Hot Springs (which is also a wonderful place to stay overnight). All four of these places are highly recommended.

Other places of interest near the Morgan Creek golf course include Darts Hill Garden Park, Elgin Heritage Park and Crescent Beach.
