HowlOver Canada at FlyOver Canada in 2025
FlyOver Canada is a year-round tourist attraction located at 201-999 Canada Place. It’s not far from the Pan Pacific Hotel and Vancouver Convention Centre.
The tourist attraction features a short film on a giant screen where participants buckle themselves into a row of seats that fly around the various scenes. The film features scents, gentle breezes and refreshing mists, along with beautiful scenery.
In October each year, FlyOver Canada adopts a Halloween theme and shows its HowlOver Canada film, which features the witch Biker Mama and her loyal cat Tiger Moon. After flying across the country from coast to coast to coast, the film ends with an amazing music festival.
In 2025, HowlOver Canada runs from October 9th until the 31st.
See the FlyOver Canada website for tickets and details about what’s currently showing at the attraction.
HowlOver Canada
This Halloween season the HowlOver Canada film runs from October 9th, to October 31st, 2025. The film shows all day, every day with start times every 15 minutes.
HowlOver Canada at Halloween is a fantastic event that’s suitable for people of all ages. There are scary scenes in the pre-show event, and the theatre is decorated with Halloween characters. Nothing is gory or jumps out at you, though, so it’s fun and entertaining even for timid people.
At FlyOver Canada, participants enjoy a pre-show production before heading to the film about Canada where they get strapped in for the ride. In all, the experience lasts about 25 minutes.
New for 2025, beyond the HowlOver film, guests can enjoy a daily self-guided scavenger hunt running from October 9th to 31st, with small prizes. The Flying Whale Waterfront Café hosts family entertainment on October 18th and 19th, as well as on October 25th and 26th, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Additionally, entertainment is scheduled on October 31st from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Halloween-themed drinks, such as Biker Mama’s Witches’ Brew (available with a light-up cup) and Ricky’s Pumpkin Brown Sugar Latte, add to the fun.
The Halloween Pre-Show
During the regular season the pre-show typically features a talk and scenes about Canada. In October for HowlOver Canada, the pre-show theatre is transformed into a Halloween-themed space, complete with festive decorations, playful characters, and engaging narration. Guests meet Biker Mama and her sidekick, Tiger Moon, who introduce the adventure with a mix of humour and spooky charm. Animated paintings, lively sets, and musical numbers set the stage before the flight begins.
For the first half of the FlyOver Canada Halloween experience the initial room is dark. Over the past couple of years, the show has featured artwork on all the walls. In one painting, skeletons danced, and in another, a witch MC appeared, welcomed guests, and provided some comical explanations about the upcoming experience. At one point, a statue also came alive and sang a song.
The entire pre-show feels theatrical and immersive, featuring a blend of Disney-style magic and a Harry Potter-like fantasy.

Heading to the Canada Film
After the initial welcome show, guests proceed to the main theatre’s waiting room. There they stand in line and watch a short Halloween-themed video about what to expect in the theatre-ride experience. This room is also usually decorated with Halloween scenes and creepy (but not overly-scary) characters.
The Canada Film Experience
The final stage of the FlyOver Canada experience is the theatre-flight simulation and the film about Canada.
Guests proceed into the main theatre and follow their FlyOver Canada hosts to rows of seats where they buckle up, store their belongings under their chairs, and get ready for an amazing multi-dimensional ride. There are three floors of rows of seats, but you can generally only see the row you are in.
The feature film during the FlyOver Canada at Halloween event is the regular FlyOver Canada movie, where the audience flies in their seats over Canada. The trip begins in the Maritimes, passes through Toronto, crosses the Prairies, and continues to Vancouver, then travels over Canada Place and up to the Arctic.
Since 2020, Biker Mama and her cat Tiger Moon have appeared throughout the film, adding a playful Halloween twist. The HowlOver Canada film itself lasts for roughly eight minutes.
