Hawaii From Above at FlyOver Canada

In addition to its regular multidimensional film about Canada, FlyOver Canada offers different films and experiences throughout the year. Hawaii From Above is one of the newest shows in the series.

The theatre hosts special events during Halloween and Christmas at other times of the year. From time to time the attraction releases new films featuring famous global locations too. Past films have featured countries like Iceland, China and the United States. The film that premiered in 2021 was all about Hawaii.

Hawaii From Above showcases the iconic Pacific islands in all their glory. Viewers get to see the state’s breathtaking volcanoes, forests and beaches.

What separates FlyOver Canada from other attractions is its ability to activate all your senses. Viewers don’t just see Hawaii – they can feel the environment too. Wind blows in people’s faces and the smells of Hawaii are present too. It feels like you’ve teleported directly to the islands!

The same as other FlyOver Canada experiences, before diving into the new main feature, there is a pre-show that showcases unique Hawaiian traditions. Notable portions of the film include scenes of Haleakala Volcano, Molokini Crater and Manta Rays in Maui.

Similar to other FlyOver Canada films, viewers must be at least 102 cm in height to participate. Children ages 12 and younger must be accompanied by a person who’s 14 years of age or older as well.

Prices and Times

Like FlyOver Canada’s previous specialty films, Hawaii From Above is a limited-time offering. The theatre only plays it from February 12th until April 21st in 2024.

As of January 2024, FlyOver Canada is open from 10:00 am until around 8:30 pm each day.

Films last for around 15 to 20 minutes. The regular FlyOver Canada film and the Hawaiian one alternate every fifteen minutes or so.

Ticket prices vary based on the number of projected visitors to FlyOver Canada. As of early January in 2024, adult tickets ranged between about $29 and $34. Kids under the age of 16 pay about $10 less than the adult rates. Prices tend to be higher on weekends.

TIP: Book in advance online to get the lowest prices. If you buy your tickets at the gate on the day you’ll pay slightly more. Also, if you see both Hawaii from Above and the regular FlyOver Canada film at the same time, you’ll save around $10 compared to buying the two tickets separately.

For tickets and full details about the attraction, see the FlyOver Canada website.
