Corn at the Chilliwack Corn Maze

Greendale Acres is a family-friendly farm attraction. It’s home to the Chilliwack Corn Maze and Pumpkin Farm during the fall and Halloween season.

Greendale Acres has all kinds of fun things to see and do. There are farm animals as well as a jumping pillow, playground, tire pyramid, pedal cart track, firepits that you can rent, and more. It’s a great place for kids and their families!

The pumpkins aren’t until the fall, but the corn maze is open in August, September and October. In August there is also the Chilliwack Corn Festival, plus a number of other special events. See below for details.

Greendale Acres and the Chilliwack Corn Maze

Greendale Acres, which used to be called the “Chilliwack Corn Maze,” is located about 90 km from downtown Vancouver. A few years ago that was its official name, but not anymore. The farm hosts lots of great events over the course of the year. Arguably its most famous event is the Chilliwack Corn Maze.

With Corn Mazes and Pumpkin Patches being a traditional part of fall in the Lower Mainland, the Chilliwack Corn Maze is a popular place. The corn maze has been in operation since 1999. That means that 2025 will be its 27th year!

In addition to its autumn activities, Greendale Acres hosts events at other times of the year, including in the spring and summer. The farm is an attraction that’s popular with children and young families for much of the year. The venue can also be rented for private functions.

The farm hosts special Easter Activities as well as the Chilliwack Plowing Match and Sweet Spring Flower Festival in April. The place is open on the Mother’s Day Weekend, but then closed for the season until August, which is when the Chilliwack Corn Maze starts up and the new Chilliwack Corn Festival takes place. There are other events and activities in late summer and fall too, including the farm’s Sundown Music Series on Saturdays in August.

Where is Greendale Acres

Greendale Acres is at 41905 Old Yale Road in Chilliwack. The farm is set on about 20 acres of land, about 12 of which are used for events. There’s the Chilliwack Corn Maze in late summer and fall as well as other family-friendly events and activities throughout the year.

About the Chilliwack Corn Maze

Greendale Acres constructs a new layout for its corn maze every year. 2023 was a special year for Greendale Acres as it was the 25th anniversary of the corn maze. Because of that the design was a simple one, representing the farm and its barn.

The theme for the 2024 design was country superstar Luke Bryan. He’s an American singer who has sold more than 75 million records, and he’s currently a judge on the TV show American Idol. Last year’s maze was designed in partnership with local radio station 93.7 JR Country and featured Luke Bryan playing a guitar along with a big pair of cowboy boots.

Fun Fact: The corn maze is usually made out of corn used for cow feed. The corn is not sweet and so isn’t good to eat. At the end of the season, all the corn from the maze is chopped up and fed to cattle.

Admission to the Corn Maze

Tickets are available both online and on-site. Everyone between the ages of 3 and 74 pays the same price during the fall season. Last year it was $16 online and $19 at the door. The price increases by a couple of dollars on Saturdays and Sundays in October at the door. Infants and seniors ages 75 and older enter for free.

Dates and Hours

The corn maze and the pumpkin patch area are usually open at different times due to the different growing seasons of each crop.

Last year the corn maze started at the beginning of August, so a bit earlier than normal. Meanwhile, the pumpkin patch at the farm is usually open from the end of September until Halloween. (Note: Last year, instead of the usual pumpkin patch in a field, Greendale Acres built a Pumpkin Pyramid.)

The farm’s Chilliwack Corn Maze opened on August 1st in 2024. It ran on Wednesdays to Sundays until October 1st and was then open seven days a week through to Halloween. The attraction operates on select holidays as well, including BC Day in August, Labour Day and National Day for Truth & Reconciliation in September, and Thanksgiving in October.

Note: Times listed may vary, so be sure to check the official website for the most up-to-date information.
